They call it Thai rolled ice cream here, it’s good! Especially if they know what they’re doing and have good topping choices.

saute garlic scapes in butter for a minute or two, till browned slightly
add shiitake mushrooms. cook till butter absorbed
add some white wine to cook mushrooms further
add some cream for richness and to provide some sauciness.
Monday we took a cajun dance class, enjoyed a cajun dinner, then danced to the Cajun band "Balfa Toujours"!
Wednesday we took a zydeco dance class, enjoyed a Louisiana dinner, then danced to the amazing combined Preston Frank and Keith Frank Zydeco bands!
These events were part of the new pre-Grassroots "Grassroots Culture Camp"! The culture camp was much less crowded than the festival; we focused on some music we really like, plus we learned a few dance steps!! The culture camp includes many workshops for musicians.
