After traveling NW on rt 99 through the coastal mtns, we went north on rt 97 through the “caribou regional district,” which is a lot like the Finger Lakes: rolling hills, agriculture, and long, narrow, glacially formed lakes.

At Prince George we turned west onto rt 16, through more long lakes, and continued through lots of smoke from all the forest fires in the province. Just arrived at blue skies, lake Tyhee provincial park

Drove Rt 99 through coastal mtns. Camped on lillooet lake 9.5km down a forest service rd. In the morning figured out that was unnecessary, as there were great campsites on creeks like Rogers along rt 99
